History

History of Brouwer Tours

Brouwer Tours, located in Noordwijk, is a household name in the region when it comes to professional passenger transport. The Brouwer Company family business, to which both Brouwer Tours and Taxi Brouwer belong, has been around for over 95 years.

Around 1900, Piet Brouwer took the first initiative in the field of road transport by setting up a contracting firm and livery stable for agricultural activities such as hay, straw and grain transport. After a number of years the company started focusing primarily on shipping and transport of flower bulbs and carrying out removals. In 1921, Brouwer acquired its first lorries and in 1927 the first luxury car for taxi transport was added to the fleet. Due to the strong growth of the tourism sector, the demand for group transport increased. Therefore, in addition to taxis, the first coach was built in 1931 and Brouwer Tours was created.
