Renting a wheelchair-accessible bus

When you rent a wheelchair-accessible bus, you want to be confident that everything is well taken care of. Our drivers are experienced in transporting people with disabilities and are well-trained in the safe transport and secure fastening of wheelchairs. Whether it’s individual transportation, group transportation, day trips, or medical appointments: we ensure a pleasant journey from start to finish.

Our vehicles are equipped with modern lift and safety systems and offer ample space for wheelchairs, caregivers, and any luggage. Thanks to our flexibility, we can easily accommodate last-minute changes, so you can always count on us.

What exactly is a wheelchair-accessible bus?

A wheelchair-accessible bus is a specially equipped taxi bus or tour bus that can transport wheelchair users safely and comfortably. Our services fall into two categories:

• Wheelchair-accessible taxi buses: ideal for individual travel or small groups. These can accommodate 2 to 3 wheelchairs.
• Wheelchair-accessible buses / tour buses: perfect for larger groups or day trips. These can accommodate 12 wheelchairs.

All vehicles are equipped with a wheelchair lift, certified securing systems, and extra-wide entryways. This allows passengers to remain seated in their own wheelchairs without having to change seats or transfer. For many travelers, this offers not only comfort but also peace of mind and safety during the trip.

Professional Transportation for People with Disabilities

Brouwer Tours has been providing safe and specialized passenger transportation for nearly 100 years, including daily transportation for people with disabilities for both private individuals and healthcare institutions. Our drivers are friendly, attentive, and professional, ensuring that every passenger feels seen and welcome.

Whether you’re looking for transportation for a healthcare facility, school, organization, or private outing, we’ll ensure your trip goes smoothly and pleasantly. With our sustainable and modern fleet, we offer a safe and reliable solution for every transportation need.

Safety First

Brouwer’s drivers who transport wheelchair passengers are experienced and knowledgeable about the applicable safety procedures regarding wheelchair transportation. They strictly adhere to these procedures. In 2001, the national “Code for the Safe Transportation of Wheelchair Users” was established, which outlines how passengers in wheelchairs should be transported as safely as possible. It goes without saying that Brouwer Tours strictly adheres to this code
